The Highfliers Academic Achievement Award is given in recognition of excellent entry grades and continued academic success.
Eligible UK, EU, Channel Island and International students starting a full-time undergraduate course in September with entry grades equating to 136 UCAS points or more (e.g. AAB or above at A Level) will receive an award of £200 in their first year of study.

In 2021/22 the criteria for bursary awards will initially be based on household income (as assessed by Student Finance**). We also look at whether the address where the student is ordinarily resident is in an area where young people are less likely to participate in Higher Education (Low Participation Neighbourhoods), or whether the student comes from a Black, Asian and minority ethnic background or Gypsy/Traveller background. We will use the postcode on the student’s University application and check whether this belongs to a POLAR4 Quintile 1 or 2. Conditions

Your programme must commence at the University of Sheffield in autumn 2021.
Distance learning courses are ineligible for a merit scholarship.
You must receive an offer for a course studied in full at the University of Sheffield. Masters programmes split between the University of Sheffield and a partner institution are not eligible to apply for a scholarship.
All Crossways courses and Erasmus Mundus courses are ineligible for a merit scholarship.
